iOS 7 deleted all my PDFs on iBooks

I still don't get why people aren't recovering their files by deleting the database so it repopulates. Has anyone actually tried that but not had it work? And even if you're afraid to do that, it's still a good idea to get some software which browses the actual folder tree on your device so that you can see if your books still exist at all.

Unbelieveable !!!!!!

I had to restore my ipad mini today since it was all the time crashing and it's one month old.... , and loaded my back-up.....everything is back execpt all my PDF files in ibooks.......what the f**** ?

it should not happen...so please apple support do something about that !😠

My point is that if it was that easy as Stephan says you should not have problem with getting back your synced PDFs, but I'm sure that all of us have tried those suggestion. And I'm sure that I had synced my phone before I upgraded my iOS, and the PDFs is still gone.

My theory is that if you have downloaded PDFs "outside" iTunes or App Store, iBooks won't support it and you loose it when you upgrade/restore. When it's all said it should be inside the phone somewhere, I guess...

I experienced this disappearing PDF files phenomenon this morning. I saw them for a couple of seconds and then they were gone! Crazy!!

So I am another victim of this bizarre and totally unacceptable issue!

I did not expect this sort of disastrous behaviour from Apple and was very surprised to see that others have been experiencing this issue for the past six months and still it isn't fixed!

Strange that I only experienced it this morning.

I am running IOS 7.0.6

From all indications I do not believe that Apple has ANY interest in fixing this problem, for example, the recent lapse insecurity opening OS to hackers. Apple is becoming Microsoft. It has gotten too big. But I do encourage all to contact Apple and COMPLAIN. Send your complaints here

I have done exactly that and am awaiting an answer from Apple. My iPad Air is less than 90 days old.

I will post results when I have something further to add.
