I've tested the app for two days now and this is my summary:

1) finally it's possible to watch regular season 2013-14, but not 2012-13...*****!

2) quality is fine when it works, but I have massive fallbacks to lowest quality including buffering for several minutes...*****! (and NO, my broadband is fine - 50 mbps and it all works on my pc via browser just great)

3) switching chapters and fast-forward work good, as long as the connection is stable...ok!

That's 2:1 for '*****'. Gonna return my Apple TV and live with League Pass via browser (or connect my pc to my plasma TV). I simply can't recommend ATV for german users who want to watch NBA...wasted money!

I get that too. But only on Apple TV. Not when I run on my Laptop. There must be something wrong with the app on Apple TV. Netflix is running perfectly on Apple TV.

I live in sweden and wants to watch the game early in the morning, 6:30. Then the games are not availble on Apple TV anyway.

Despite that, the picture is very good when watching on Apple TV. But as you mentioned, there is a lot of buffering going on.

I hope they will fix this soon.

I've still got problems with iPhone and Xbox 360, Apple TV is no longer in my possession due to this problem.

Only via browser I can watch NBA games without errors and buffering.

Tried various connections (at home, at work, at a friend's house) - no matter where I am, iPhone and XBox don't work properly.

Contacting NBA LP support does NOT HELP AT ALL. They send standard-answers which don't relate to the problem or they don't answer at all. That ***** so badly, I'd like to reverse my payment and let it get really ugly with those as****les (sorry).

We are in New Zealand and had trouble with buffering the first couple of years. It's due to a combination of things, your local broadband speed and also for us,at nights, the amount of people in Australia and new Zealand using the Pacific cable on the seabed during Peak times ie in the evenings especially on Sundays. We found it immensely better this year as we changed our Internet plan to Vdsl which is the ultra fast plan. This year we've had no issues and have been able to watch all the games. And agreed the responses from nba tv are crap when you have a problem. I don't think they can read English at the contact centre. I have an issue with the time it takes for apple tv to post the games. Sometimes it's unacceptably slow.

My broadband speed is not the problem (VDSL with 50 mbps), probably it's just the transatlantic connection to the NBA servers in the US. But in my opinion, if I sell a product in Europe/Germany I have to make sure it works properly, which could mean getting server capacity here in Europe and store the videos here (or in Australia/New Zealand/Asia/whatever). That would definitely solve a lot of the problems. And it would justify the amout of money they get for their - at the moment - crappy product. As for now, NBA LP is just a rip-off outside the US - money for nothing!
