I tested it, System Update can't contact Apple's update servers anymore. Which is why I posted that approach. It works by manually setting a local proxy. Weblock then filters that local host, trough which network traffic passes. No IT-expert here, hope that makes sense. Neither do I have my iPad with me to write down the exact steps, but they come with the app and are simple to perform. I might add they have to be applied to any WiFi you connect to.
