In iOS 7, Safari crashes often, especially with YouTube videos

Same problem with ipad retina. Crashes with both Safari and Mercury, not just with youtube but with sites that have streaming: aereo, hulu but not when watching a Network app (CW 11 works fine) Was never a problem before the update. How frustrating! I don't think it's a youtube thing, I think it's an Apple thing.....

I am just asking myself, all those complains about the problems we have......does apple support aware/read those matters? Why they do not take fast action?

I am wondering about that too - the only explanation I can think of is the ongoing rivalry between Apple and Google/Youtube. Does Apple lack the "capacity" - technical or otherwise - to solve the youtube problem? Probably not. So maybe we are all taken hostage in their rivalry...who knows. Either way, a totally frustrating silence from Apple...

I can only add my voice to those reporting issues with comment enabled pages on the Guardian website.

Since installing iOS 7 on my iPhone 4S, every time that I visit a Guardian page with comments and expand the nested comments, Safari freezes then quits. Every time.

I've also noticed that when multitasking and switching back to Safari, any page I return to has to reload. Something is very wrong.

I e-mailed The Guardian about this. They are aware of the issue and are hoping Apple will sort it out for them. I have no idea what esoteric code they are using for their comments section but it is the only site that I have problems with. The mobile site works fine but sadly the mobile site is not very good.

My safari crashes after updating it to iOS 7 but not on a regular basis. Now youtbe has stopped working on my iPad. It just goes blank when I go on it.

Go to settings>icloud>storage and back up>back up

or back it up to a computer

after that preform a restore by going to

general>reset>erase all content and settings

this will delete everything except the enabled stuff on icloud.

You can view whats enabled by going to icloud in settings.

Im also with everyone on this, the Guardian website has been a nightmare since I upgraded to iOS 7, even with 7.0.3. I'm wondering if not having the latest iPad is the reason? Anyone know if there are any other sites that maybe are coded similar to the guardian that has been crashing like mad? Hopefully something gives and it gets sorted as it is getting a bit silly.

Oh man .... Probably SAMSUNG is my future choice ..... I have been loyal to Apple since 1992 but now.....

Same crashing. Most noticeable on Espn.com when streaming videos are on page and certain comments sections on other sites when I pinch zoom and/or scroll. But not this site.

If you have a complaint you want Apple to hear, you need to tell them. I seriously doubt they read these user forums. Go to their feedback page to post your complaints.
