Songs in iCloud not showing in iTunes library

Hope someone can help...

I have well over the number of songs in my collection that will fit onto my iPod, so I have uploaded all of them to iCloud and deleted them from my library. I want to download some of them now, but suddenly iTunes Match no longer displays those songs. Previously, the cloud icon with the download arrow button would show and I could download those songs, but now they don't appear at ALL! I have the settings set to "Show Songs In the Cloud" and they still do not appear (I have turned this feature on and off, hoping to make them appear but it did not work).

I still have all the songs on my external drive, so no worries there, but the main reason I wanted to download from the cloud again was to replace hundreds of songs that have the old DRM protection on them, which I could do if I could get access to the ones in the Cloud.

Can someone help me figure this one out? I just installed the new iOs and have quit out of iTunes and restarted my computer, etc. Nothing seems to make those songs in the cloud show up as available to download into my iTunes library.

Many thanks in advance,

Zany

It sounds like iTunes Match is not enabled in iTunes. Pull down Store > Turn On iTunes Match. You'll be prompted to add the computer. Do so.

This looks like the most likely solution to the problem I'm having as well. Call me stupid, but I don't see a "create new library" option anywhere in my iTunes menu? Can you elaborate on how to do that? I'm only seeing option to import or export libraries.

EDIT: Nevermind. On Windows, you hold Shift instead of Alt and it's easy from there. So far, this seems to be my solution as well. Can't wait to spend some time working on this later.

I tried several of the suggestions such as enabling view iTunes in the Cloud purchases etc but still wasn't seeing anything. I managed to get around it however, it seems there are some Terms & Conditions which I needed to agree to before any purchases would show up. I did the following (note this is iTunes 12, Yosemite beta, but hopefully should work with iTunes 11 etc):

  1. Find a link to view your Previous Purchases in iTunes Store. In iTunes 12 there is a link in the dropdown next to the player window, where your name is shown.
  2. Try to download something you previously purchased by clicking the little cloud/download icon.
  3. A prompt will then come up asking you to agree to some Terms & Conditions. Once I had agreed, all my purchases showed up.

Hopefully this will help someone else who runs into this issue. On a sidenote, if there is one thing I really dislike about OS X it is all the Terms & Conditions you now have to agree to do anything, it's getting ridiculous. No human being can actually be expected to read all these Terms & Conditions and understand what they mean legally etc.

I know this is a really post, but I came across a solution today that worked for me. But first, my context: I received a new CD, and ripped it, but after it was ripped, it did not show up in iTunes when sorted by Song. Using the three column browser, the artist did not appear. But when I searched for the artist, there they were!

I switched back to Song view, and they were gone again. I searched for the artist, then did a Get Info on the tracks.

Turns out, when I ripped the CD, the CDDB data was set to show the music as a compilation album (which it isn't). I unchecked the "Album is a compilation of songs by various artists" checkbox, and that cured the problem.

Just posting it here for others in the same situation. Scroll to the top of the Artists list and look under Compilations to see if your missing music is there.
