anyone else notice stuttering animation on the iphone 5S

WHen i scan my finger once again it starts working fine the next 15 mins but after that it doesnt recognize it.

Hey guys i just went down to the sprint store and picked up a 5s "off contract" which was $688 after tax. as soon as i turned on the phone set up as new without any of my information on it was having this lag effect in the animation.

i kept the phone for 3 days to try to figure out ways to stop it. that was a total fail. the only thing that worked was obviously tuning on "reduce motion" which is DEF not what i want. i love ios 7 and everything that comes with that so that’s not an option for me. i felt like i was going backwards compared to my ip5 so i returned it. paying that much for a device and having it do that felt like an insult lol BUT im thinking about trying again and maybe seeing if i get lucky and get a good one.

this problem looks to be a VERY minor issue because there is basically no reports anywhere of this happening. BUT this is a huge problem for me cause i want it to run at least as good as my ip5 ya know....

oh okay well i really hope that that’s the case and fixes it on all 5s's and not just hit or miss. unfortunately from the rumor mill it’s going to be March or something until 7.1 releases. idk i might go back and try another one out and pray that 7.1 fixes it when it comes out.

im OCD about all my tech and want everything to be as close to perfect as possible and having that little bit of lag REALLY kills the mural lol....

It's almost March and still no fix?!? I pay $AU999 for an iPhone 5s-stutter! I wish I never upgraded from my 5 and gave it away now. Disappointing Apple. Not a happy customer.

bro trust me your DEF not the only one with that issue. I was lucky enough to of bought a 5s without having to sell my 5. i keep it for 12 days and tried all kinds of different things. nothing worked. when spending $700 on an s upgrade from the 5 i expect my phone to be flawless. i just went ahead and returned it. ios 7.1 is suppose to come out around the 15th of march and when it does i will try to buy another one. until then im good with my 5.

SO now that 7.1 is officially out to everyone..... Can anyone who legitimately had the animation lag when opening and closing apps tell me if 7.1 has fixed the problem and its safe for me to go buy another one?

okay well cool. i think i might have to go pull the trigger then.

PROBLEM SOLVED. Its even a lot faster, pretty satisfactory.. As always, this is the version that shouldve been released originally...

iOS 7.1 doesn't solve all the lag. There is still lag present when unlock phone and animation of icons are sometimes lagy at end if animation, also sometimes when opevmaps or wheather there is sometimes lag on the start of animation. What is strange because iOS 7.1 beta 4 was withou any lag and this lags what are in final release also appeared in iOS 7.1 beta 5.

OTA. Maybe I will try to do fresh install but I don't hope that improve it. Maybe I am very sensitive for details and this is why I noticed these lags. But I am absolutels sure that iOS 7.1 beta 4 was withot lags and lags appeared againg in iOS 7.1 beta 5 and is stilll there in iOS 7.1 final.
