Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
The home button on my iPhone has a strange feel to it after about of week of use. When I press it, there is a slight click before the actual button press. It's really noticable when I double-click it for multi-task. Also, the touch-id won't work when the button is loose. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Same issue for me... I noticed that the sapphire crystal protecting the touch id is moving slightly, about 1/2 mm in every direction, but only if i make it move and not by itself. Its not wiggly on its own and the sensor works just fine, but i am just looking for an answer, if its meant or not to do that.

When I shake the phone near my ear, I can hear a slight rattle... my guess is this is some part of the TouchID home button. Has anyone else noticed this?

Because it varies depending on how you click it.
If II gently press the home button slightly off-center, it doesn't click.
If I forcefully press the middle of the button, it does.

I had the same problem but after a few days of using it the problem went away and my home button feels normal again
I use it quite intensively for about a week but the problem seems to persist ... how much time is spent Directory to use the click becomes more "soft"?
Same for me. Has been pretty much the same for a week now. Tried the method from the video in this topic, where you clean the button with a soft cloth and glass cleaning spray but that only works for a couple of hours.
Apple store is a 3h drive, don't want to risk going there for nothing.. 😟
I went to my apple store and they told me it was normal for it to do that but I called apple and they told me it wasn't. I don't want to go waste my time by going over their again and mine seems to have gone away for now
I have noticed the same issue on my 5S in the last couple of days. I think that the ring around the touch ID is coming up because I can press firmly on it with a fingernail and it goes away for a while.
iPhone 5S home button seems loose.
