problem in lock screen in ios 7.0.2

I updated (iphone5) to ios 7.0.2, my phone has been freezing sporadically at the lock screen. I am unable to slide to unlock

Is there a way to fix this problem?

Tried a reset all contents and settings after a backup to iCloud. After a reset and before restoring from iCloud itself, I had to restart twice. Yes, a blank iPhone with no apps or specific settings at all is freezing again!!! In the very first multi-lingual "Hello" displayed lock screen! What a tragedy. Anyway, after a successful restoration, I am still waiting for a freeze @ lock sceen again...

I am instructed to follow the below link from Apple Support. I went for an iCloud option, as I am a Linux user.

(I hope there won't be any difference b/w iCloud and iTunes backup and restore, other than the fact that the location of backup and the way of backing up and retrieving is different - via USB cable and via WiFi to iCloud servers; anyway this page they shared has both these options)

Now, if it freezes again, just two options left - 1) hope that a 7.1 update will correct the problem. 2) let me check with Apple to see if there is any service/replacement option, as the device is still under warranty. I would prefer the 2nd option, as there is some level of certainity!

The same ("Reset All Content and Settings") is what I did (please read 3rd post up from here). After the reboot, we will be promted for 3 options. Use as new iPhone, restore from iCloud and Restore from iTunes. I selected the restore from iCloud; next step is to select which backup from iCloud need to be restored. I had to leave the phone in that stage for some time. When I came back it was locked and freezed displaying a Hello in different languages! So it was at a completly blank and fresh iOS 7, which is freezing @ lockscreen.

Yes. It happened again! 5 times today, after a restore as new.🙂

Restored as New iPhone option. Installed just 4 apps which I use frequently. 1. Google Maps 2. Any Do 3. I'm Expecting and 4. Google Play Books. Again the same problem in 2-3 hours, twice! In another 6 hours by now, again it happened 3 times.

Now I have uninstalled all the four apps. Just want to see if they caused the problem! Anyway now going to initiate another chat with those support guys, to get the phone serviced.

Bhavani, I would recommend you to go for another one (may not be an 'i'), as your phone's warranty period expired.

Updated my phone on 15th evening. Today the problem happened again. So let's wait for the next release!

One more thing. I met two of my friends last day. Both got iPhone 4s with them. One guy updated his to 7. The other didn't. Funniest part of the conversation is, they both told me that it has been a known problem with iOS even in version 6! Both of them used to restart their frozen phone at least once in two weeks. I wonder why Apple fans still carry a device with problems. My earlier phone an S2, had done more than a month, several times! Anyway they said once in 2-3 days to thrice a day is a bit higher rate.
