Because many Apple users will ignore that their devices no longer work well. I don't mind sharing my experiences here but for an Apple fan admitting their Apple is less than perfect is like admitting you were molested by Uncle Tio - you just deny it and save face!

Seriously, I really miss my old (un-upgraded) iPhone and iPad...

I just bought i4 8GB last week, the original iOS is 6.1.3.. and then couple days ago, i just upgraded to iOS 7.0.3 because it said upgradeable to iOS 7..

Now i regret upgraded to iOS7, i think my i4 not capable operating iOS7.. i decided to upgrade my i4, because my iPad2 works well with iOS7 and it said upgradeable to iOS7.. I always satisfied with all apple product that i already bought (MBP & iPad).. It is my bad not searching other people experience before upgrade to iOS7..

When i open application or texting with keyboard, my i4 will lag and it just like a hang time for 3-5 sec until normal again.. Really frustating, i feel made a wrong decision bought an i4 rather than galax*.. I just change from my blackbe*** to i4 for experiencing real smartphone, but now it just like a stupidphone.. sighh..

Like others also have pointed out , it's was mr. Steve Jobs that made apple great.

Maybe he ruled with an iron fist, and many didnt like it, but the products were great.

But history is repeating and the big bobo's at apple refuse to see it.

Steve jobs left apple a long time ago and it nearly ruined apple, and dream works became a big company.

He came back to apple and brought the company back to life.

Unfortunately Steve Jobs has past on, and the big bobo's finally could do as they like.

And it will ruin apple for good if they keep on this track.

To bring out an iOS for iPhone and iPad with the looks of nokia's Symbian Anna from 2011 and a wanna be android isn't good.

It looks bad, and it works bad. It's just an bad iOS!

The other day I saw a friend with his iPhone on ios6 and i really miss it.

I'm already looking arround for a new mobile and it won't be an apple for sure.

Maybe it will be an samsung... Or an Nokia...

I'm not sure what it will be.

But I have lost faith in apple and its quality and not to forget its great user friendliness....

It's all going downhill from here..

And btw, there is also no "unapproved way by apple" to downgrade.

Once iOS 7 is installed your f***ked.

We can only dream that the big bobo's at apple will realize that the customer can make or break your company.

As I said before, it seems like history will repeat and apple won't survive it this time. There is no Steve Jobs to save them anymore.

I don't believe anyone has said that, actually. Google is your friend

If you're like me and dislike ios7 please consider not "upgrading" your macs until you've seen Mavericks in action. I'm going to my Apple store to see if it's got all the washed out, greyed out nonsense like the phone/pads do. I'd feel bad habving my Mac experience ruined by a new os.

Like my friends in the industry used to say (about Microsoft os upgrades), give it a year to see if they work out the bugs, then upgrade. I'm taking their advice with Apple now.

Sadly, Mavericks looks almost exactly like Mountain Lion. I was quite disappointed.

I have to admit after seeing Mavericks in action I'm relieved it's not messed up like ios7. The cosmetic differences are minor and they didn't remove the ergonomics for tacky colors. It's NOT greyed out/washed out!

I understand your sentiments Meniscus but remember the free market has solutions for goofy products like ios7. I made the change back to Android and though it's strange at first you get used to it. Total choice in look, feel, and function. A different world for sure.

I got new Iphone 4 about 3 months ago it was great until the ios7 update , it's now in slow motion , even putting in the passcode it lags , I hate it so much I sold it , I'm now using my old 3gs 6.1.3 It's much better no lagging good wifi ,, why did Apple do that ,, was that update made to slow down the i4 and i4s , never again I will Purchase a Iphone , I wonder if apple employees that have Iphone 4 and 4s did they update to IOS7 !!

Nov 8, 2013 10:32 AM in response to Leka.f

simple answer im afriad, iphone 4 is unusable since the 'upgrade' sluggish and painfull to use the user experiance has been ruined, the only answer is to upgrade to an iphone 5 but since this will invlove a new phone contract why should I stick with apple ? the new sony xperia z ultra looks very nice, waterproof, a hugh screen and a sd card slot so why should I stick with Apple erm no carnt think of a reason.

Well if that was their plan, it backfired. Several people I know have already said that when they are up for a new phone they will NOT be getting another iPhone because of their experiences with iOS 7, and I have decided against buying an iPad because of it. Microsoft and Intel played that game in the 90's, new version of Windows makes you buy new PC in order to run it smoothly, but the difference is they had no competition back then. There are way too many other options out there to try that tactic now.

Hogwash. My sister and brother-in-law are both running iOS 7 on their iPhone 4 and are not having a problem using them. They are certainly not as fast as my iPhone 5 or a new 5s but they are usable. It is entirely unrealistic to think a new OS is going to run as fast on an older phone than a brand new one.

If the phone is so slow as to be unusable then something is wrong with your phone and needs to be addressed.

I want to downgrade IOS 7 to IOS 6.1.3 !!!
