You have a good point deggie. The slow performance I could handle but the lockups got burdensome especially since I had to carry the phone for business. I couldn't erase voicemails - well I'd erase them and then they'd pop back up so in my case it wasn't just slow it meant erratic operation. I suppose I'd have never noticed any of the quirks were it not for the beautiful performance before the upgrade.

From now on I'll wait and see exactly what a so-called upgrade actually does before I do it on my own equipment. I don't posess the sense of denial necessary to deal with bad performing devices.

Well if that was their plan, it backfired. Several people I know have already said that when they are up for a new phone they will NOT be getting another iPhone because of their experiences with iOS 7, and I have decided against buying an iPad because of it. Microsoft and Intel played that game in the 90's, new version of Windows makes you buy new PC in order to run it smoothly, but the difference is they had no competition back then. There are way too many other options out there to try that tactic now.

Is that like how Microsoft 'makes' you buy a new XBox in order to use the new XBox 360 games, or how Nintendo 'made' you buy a new Nintendo in order to use Super Nintendo games?

Since upgrading to iOS7 Ive barely used my iPad2:64. Its clunky, lags and jerks all over the place. Its as if the hardware cant handle the software and there's no way to downgrade it!

So now im stuck with a device that I payed a small fortune for on release date, and for the first 18 months it never left my side- now being on my bedside table not being used gathering dust.

If this is to teach Apple PR anything, customers wont/don't forget being strongarmed like this and as for me, its definately the last apple product I will ever buy... which is a shame becase I was saving up for a mini2 as an upgrade

1000's complaints with OS7 , why as Apple not Fix the problem or did they even reply to any of the posts ??

We are on Apple Support page are we not !!

Apple should think a bid and release a new OS Update to make it like it was ., that would help regain the sales and customers that apple as already lost ..

So what are you going to do APPLE , Don't leave 1000's of users hanging !!!

In all fairness you should simply get a new phone. IOS 7, regrettably, is here to stay and there's far too many people who accept products from Apple good or bad. I got a nice Android to replace my iPhone and my only gripe about it is that there's so many options you can't make up your mind how to configure it. You can, for laughs, make it look just like IOS7. I'm sure there's even a way to make it crash and malfunction like my upgraded 4S did!

My friend, just replace it. You won't regret it.

Here's ons for ya' - When I switched to Android (three weeks ago) I couldn't receive text messages from iPhones but I could get them from other Androids. I called Verizon support and the guy told me that it would take a month or more before I could get texting back and it isn't a carrier-related thing, it's an Apple thing. He said to call everyone I wish to text and have them erase all threads with me. Realistically, this won't happen since each person would have to completely erase any history of texts with me. Who would do this?

The next call to Apple support was more productive. The lady said that the month delay (in this age of instant communication) was done for a reason and that's to discourage leaving the Apple system. I simply asked her to fix it and she did - right then. The next day it started working and except for a couple of folks I can now text normally.

Please consider this if you leave Apple.

It looks almost exactly like Mountain Lion EXCEPT they took the color labels away from the folders (which I relied on heavily to organize my files and folders and be able to quickly find). Now there are these tiny dots with a totally different tag function. Sure, add the tag function, but don't get rid of the labels. If you use the colored labels, don't upgrade.

My MacBook has also been running very slowly and Adobe Creative Suite programs keep freezing since I installed Mavericks. I feel like I'm on a PC again--having to make sure too many programs aren't running at once and saving my work ALL THE TIME! One thing I loved about my Mac (and why I switched over from a PC 10 years ago) is that I didn't have to worry about those things! I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro with 8GB of ram. That should be sufficient.

Steve Jobs must be rolling in his grave. I'm not even going to get started on my iOS7 experiences. It makes me sad to feel more and more like I'm using a PC and an Android--like someone said all because of the operating systems. Like someone wrote in an earlier post--it was Mr. Steve Jobs who made Apple great. I agree, and that's more apparent every day. I just want my old operating systems back!

Sorry for your experience but it doesn't surprise me. I'm not going to suggest you use another operating system but there's lots out there once you poke your head out of the Apple cave, if you know what I mean.

I have a 2012 iMac and Macbook Air - I'll wait 'till I see what happens to others before I make an ios7 kind of mistake again.
