No, it isn't. It is obvious that an XBOX 360 game will not run on an XBOX, and it doesn't claim to. Your analogy doesn't even make sense.
It makes perfect sense. No one 'makes' anyone upgrade. In the Terms & Conditions, it is CLEARLY optional, and also at the SOLE RISK of the user.
And this isn't a case of iOS 7 not running on a device that it claims to. It's amatter of not liking the software.
Back to the XBox example; every so often, Microsoft provides an update to the XBox menu screen. I don't have the option of ignoring that update, if I also want to continue to go online with my XBox. Either I update it, or I don't go online. Same with other software on the XBox. My Netflix just updated. I prefer the older interface, but I dodn't even have the option of not ugrading. I HAD to upgrade if I want to continue using the service.
Explain, exactly, how you were forced to upgrade? Yes, the iPhone 5 runs the software more smoothly and effeciently. The iPhone 4 and iOS 7 give you the 'baseline' experience of iOS 7. The iPhone give you an 'enhanced' experience.
It's like complaining that your hotel room isn't as nice as the penthouse suite. Of course it's not! Why shouldn't someone that paid more get more?
Hi Bala,
There may be numerous ways to roll back to previous IOS version/s but, legitimately, it is not possible to rollback to the previous version. Please don't fall prey to these illegal ways.
It is amazing how bad and much IOS 7 is like Symbian Anna. It's even got it's lag. I have done everything Apple has told me to do and others to my Iphone 4 but the lag returns.

I need to downgrade unless apple amend their policy for some music/MIDI apps as stated by this developer.
"The current issue regarding JACK on iOS 7 is actually serious. If it was just an ordinary bug, we would already have fixed it. However it is in fact worse. Apple introduced a new policy with iOS 7, which prohibits any Inter-Process Communication (IPC) among third party apps. That's the actual reason why JACK currently crashes on iOS 7, because all IPC mechanisms are now blocked for all third party apps. Obviously, without a way to communicate with other apps, we have no way to use or fix JACK for its purpose on iOS 7. Only Apple is in the position to change this situation, since this is a policy restriction enforced on operating system level. We can't do anything about it unfortunately. There are various other app vendors who suffer under this new severe OS restriction as well and we asked for a statement from Apple's side, i.e. on Apple's developer forum and on Apple's bug tracking system (issue #14988888) and by contacting some Apple engineers directly, however we got no statement whatsoever yet. From what we have heard from other app vendors, they also got no reply from Apple on their inquiries regarding this issue either. And the new restriction / behaviour change is not mentioned in any of Apple's developer documents, which is quite unusual, especially considering the large impact this change has on a variety of apps.
Unless Apple does not show up any reaction on our inquiries, the only option we currently have is to recycle the graphical user interface of JACK for Inter-App Audio (IAA). But then we would have the same features and restrictions as Audiobus and all other IAA host apps would have on iOS 7. So we are not sure about this option yet. We hope you understand.
So in brief: it is unlikely that JACK will ever work again on iOS 7 upwards, simply because it is not in our hands and we consider it unlikely that Apple will move in its position regarding this new policy / OS restriction. In case you want to continue using JACK on iOS, then you should not update your device to iOS 7 or later. Keep in mind that you cannot downgrade your iOS version once you updated it. "
in the case of the iPhone 4 is not to learn but that this model works very slowly with ios 7! So the people at Apple should let even those with iphone 4 ios do downgrade to 6.1.3
Hey!
I have a iPad (3rd generation).
Before to update it to iOS 7, when it was running on iOS 6, it was amazing what fast it was running.
I could do everything and very fast. Since I update it, it is so slow. I have met a lot of bugs and and most of time it is lagging. It is impossible to think that a fast iPad became a slow iPad and the couse of this think is only ONE: iOS 7
Sometimes I put myself a question: "what I bought? , what I chose : A Android Tablet or an amazing iPad?????? ".
Steve Jobs when he was alive said: "Think different! ". So that's the question: WHAT'S THE DIFERENCE OF THE DESIGN OF iOS 7 AND ANDROID???? In my opinion these 2 operation systems are SAME thing!
So you, Apple Team, make possible that we the iOS 6 lovers to can downgrade from iOS 7 to iOS 6!
I have now on my iPad iOS 7.0.4 and I want extremely to downgrade it to iOS 6.1.3
So let us to downgrade and help us!
You can't.
Why?
Apple has never supported the downgrading of iOS. That is just the way it is.
Because Apple does not allow it. There is no other reason.
Yeah, a lot of people hate iOS 7, I think
They may allow now with that thing
You do understand how long iOS 7 has been out? Many people complain whenever there is a change in iOS. Look back through the forum, or news articles. It ain't going to happen. Either get used to iOS 7, or you can sell the device and get something else that suits you, but iOS 7 is here to stay. You will not get a method to downgrade it.
I hope the new iOS 8 will be better than this one.
I would like iOS 8 to be like iOS 6 but I know it will be like iOS 7 to design
I want to downgrade IOS 7 to IOS 6.1.3 !!!
