Ios 7 apps refresh

Why is it when I am multi-tasking between apps that when going back to an app like safari the page will reload. I was checking out on a web page shopping cart and went to my email for a second and when I came back to safari by double click home button and select safari the page refreshed and I had to start over with the purchase. This also happens when just visiting standard pages. I have ios 7.02 11a501.

I have noticed others apps doing the same type thing such as Dropbox. When viewing a PDF switch between apps and back the PDF will reload and you are returned to the top of the document. Please help!

Mac mini (Mid 2011), iOS 7.0.2, 11a501

Hi, I've been on the older thread dealing with this issue and am here viewing this thread for the first time. (Is there a way to combine our two threads so we're not duplicating our efforts?) I just read Barzo's excellent comment here from Nov. 21. Barzo, I agree with you 100%. It's crazy and even slightly suspicious that Apple would ask its users to reproduce this problem and send in logs, as if it's some sort of esoteric and difficult-to-reproduce problem. It's so easy to reproduce it's ridiculous. Anyone can do it - it's there for any iPad or iPhone user to see for himself, though possibly it happens less with the latest models. And in that regard you're entirely right that it should be considered a botched feature rather than a bug. When I spoke to someone at the Apple Store Genius Bar about our problem a few weeks ago and he said it was "working as designed," I was initially irritated as that phrase is the classical cop-out of IT support personnel. But now I realize he was being completely truthful. It's much worse than a bug. There's no bad coding here or coding that doesn't consider all circumstances; the problem seems instead to be the consequence of a badly thought-out design. If indeed it was done to save battery life, how about a switch in Settings so a user can decide whether or not he wants to save a bit of battery life and have all his apps reset when switching back to them?

Hello everyone! Thanks for following my thread that was started when I was unable to find information about this issue anywhere. In an effort to consolidate all the findings please begin posting on the other thread so everyone can keep connected til this is fixed.

Yeah seems to have gone all quiet on the update front!

This is a real royal pain in the *** and the fact that nothing has been done about it in all this time is nothing short of diabolical!

I actually got a call from Apple to assist with this issue and send them error logs, looks like they went right to the recycle bin!

Come on Apple, play the game!!!

Just want to add my voice to the discussion. This is a huge problem for me. I often use Google Drive to take notes, occasionally copying excerpts from web pages or papers in Good Reader. The incessant automatic refreshing of apps kills productivity and makes multitasking almost worthless. Please fix this Apple! I have too much invested in you to switch to Android....
