Can't delete songs from iPhone 5

When I downloaded iOS 7.0.1 all my songs appeared on my phone. I selected Settings > Music and turned "Show All Music" off. There are still songs that appear in my music files. I cannot drag my finger across them to get the Delete button like the other songs in my phone. How do I get rid of this music?!

I have done everything listed on here and none of the options have allowed me to delete the songs I want gone. The thing is - nothing can see these songs other than my phone. itunes swears they aren't there, I have deleted all of the music off of my phone, and I even downloaded a different program that is supposed to allow you to remove songs from an iPhone - it cant see them either. But they are there and they overtake the radio in my car and play immediately. I have turned off all of the settings that would imply that they are playing from the cloud. Still they are there. The only thing I can think of is completely erasing my entire phone but I hate to do that over 15 songs that won't go away. The slide to delete option doesn't work either. If I even touch the songs they immediately start playing. It's maddening. I even went so far as to sink my phone with my work computer that doesn't have any music on it - still they are there.

Can anyone think of anything else I could try to make these mystery songs go away? I'm using an iPhone 5c with the latest OS

Ok, I had this too and it took me a while to work it out .. the pesky track was The Jackson 5 "ABC" and every single time I plugged my phone into the car, it started playing it , used to drive me mad!!!

1). Are the tracks you can't get rid of, part of an album? If so, go to Settings .. iTunes & App Store .. Show all music , then open your Music app and download the rest of the album from the Cloud. Connect to iTunes, select the album , sync , then deselect the album , sync , they should have gone.

2). If the above doesn't work, go to Settings .. General .. Usage .. Storage .. Manage Storage .. Music .. and if the tracks are listed there, delete them.

3). The only other thing I can suggest connect phone to iTunes ... go to the "Music" tab of your phone ... scroll right to the bottom ... and there any "manually added" songs there? If so, are these the pesky hangers-on? Delete them then re-sync.

WooHoo! Thank you so very much! I have tried everything but restoring for nearly a year to get these songs to go away! Somehow the list kept growing, in addition to the original "Undelete-ables". I managed to have 255 songs I could not delete. This has ABSOLUTELY been THE. FAB. FIX. Genius! PITA, but Genius! Now if I can get iTunes Match to work correctly on the Apple TV I'll be set.
