How do I change the Apple ID stored on my MacBook Air? I have changed my Apple ID on the Apple ID website, but both my MacBook Air and my iMac show the old Apple ID when accessing iCloud.

I wanted to change the apple ID of the MacBook Air.

Initially i have not registered with any Apple ID, Now i wanted to register it with an Apple ID.

In System Preferences -> Users and group -> password,

I don't see any apple ID change button. nothing related to Apple ID change.

Please help me out with this issue.

Go to System Preferences>iCloud and click 'Sign out'. Then sign in with the correct ID.

The password in Users and Groups is your user account ID on your Mac and is nothing to do with iCloud.

Assuming you have already created an Apple ID at http://appleid.apple.com , go to System Preferences>iCloud and sign in there with the ID. Click 'Mail' and any other data types you want to sync. You will be asked to create a new @icloud.com address. You will need to sign in separately to the iTunes Store.

I've ttried this. I can't do it because I don't have the original owner's password. And I HAVE to have that in order to Sign Out.
