Does anyone know how to disable "Cellular Data is Turned Off" warning message IOS 7

User uploaded file

I am getting it for a bunch of applications which I want to run only on WiFi (not on cellular), for example, "Remote" when using AirPlay at home. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Chris

Because I am listening to the audible book, every time I wake up my phone the message pops up. I frequently rewind my audiobook 30 seconds to listen to a section again. Every time I wake up the screen I get that message. If I pause my book to go read a text message or answer a phone call, when I go back to Audible the message pops up again.

Mine does not do this and I have not heard of anyone elses doing it.

Only when I have cell data disabled and I first open the Music app does it pop up.

I'm not talking about the Music app. Maybe you can turn it off in the Notification Center [edit: Music is not an option in the Notification Center]. I cannot do that with Audible as it does not appear in the Notification Center either.

As for not having heard of anyone else's doing it, most of the people in this thread are complaining about this very thing.

You are using the Audible app?

Can't turn this off for any application in Notifications.

Just chiming in - my Audible app does not behave as yours, and I do have cellular data turned off for that app.

The notification will pop up if I am away from wifi and open the app, but it will not continuously pop up if I am switching between apps or waking the screen from sleep, unless I've had the app closed for a while.

Perhaps deleting the Audible app and re-installing it would be worth trying?

I can vouch for cavenewt. As you can see on the first page I have a screenshot from my BBC News app. I've run into the exact same problem. Say I'm at home, on wi-fi, and I decide to check my BBC News App. Even though it loads the news stories just fine (because it's on wifi), it still gives me the annoying popup saying that cellular data is disabled. Pretend I'm still at home one hour later. When I open back up the app (e.g. from the multitasking tray), it gives me another popup about how I have cellular data turned off.

Here we are a year later with the same problem!!!!

lyssa - what version are you using for audible?- mine did not do this until I got os7 and a newer audible app. Back yours up if it is not connected to cellular and it does NOT give these horrifically annoying popups all the time. Like cave newt, I like to hit rewind once in a while and wham! there is that awful popup! again! or if I change programs and come back, yeah, there is that popup again. You have to hit ok to get it to go and that's awful when you are driving.

Personally I keep bugging audible about this. A lot of people say it is an apple problem but only a few apps do this allatime begging. I'd say audible has wanted this is the app. Complain to them.

For those who would like to tell me how to turn cellular on for audible, forget it. I tuned it off because I don't want it on. And yeah, it didn't use to do this.

I've taken to using the iTunes music player app which is not as nice an app but it only asks once in a long while for cellular and not over and over and over.
