Update Unavailable with This Apple ID

Hi,

I have been trying to update my apps, and a pop-up box appeared, saying

Update Unavailable with This Apple ID

This update is for an app downloaded with a different Apple ID.

Sign in with that Apple ID and try again.

This happened on both my iPhone and my computer associated with it. iTunes will not let me download the app, even though I have had it on my phone before. The app still says 'Free' in the app store, but I am unable to download it.

I am using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.2, and I am using a Windows 8 operating system on a laptop.

Does anyone have a solution? Thanks for the help in advance.

Same issue for me. It seems to be kind of random. Updated all apps this morning on my iPhone, only Candy Crush had the problem. Then when I try on my iPad there are about 6 apps that can't be updated. After you receive the message it also introduce a glitch - Go to your homescreen after dismissing it, and you sure have a forever spinning network acitity indicator. Which only disappears from home screen after a restart. Apple is probably already on to it - hope it will be soon.

hey

your wechat can be updated ? my one cannot . ProCam (carema APP) is the only one i updated successfully. I have tried like signing out and in or restarting my iphone or chaning my apple passcode , but none of them works. And the little blue dot before the APP name keep showing and never disappear.

!st time being a bit disappointed for Apple.

Don't panic ... You can reinstall deleted apps from itunes ... Too bad they still can't update

Start Itunes, connect iphone/ipad, click on it, select apps and look for the apps in the magnifier field, you ill see it and you can install it (install button on the right) ... then apply 🙂User uploaded file

Happend to me too ... With imdb, tunein radio and viber.

I'm waiting too for the fix ... Don't try another "bypass-es"

Hi guys!

I've read somewhere here in this thread an alternative way to update/re-download the apps that are not updating as is it should be. Here's what I did:

1) In App Store>Featured, scroll down and click on your Apple ID and choose Sign Out

2) Still in the App Store (now logged out of your Apple ID, search for the app

3) Click on Install and you'll be asked to either log in to your existing Apple ID or create a new one

4) Choose the login using your existing Apple ID and it SHOULD DOWNLOAD the app without encountering the same Error Message

Once you have downloaded app, log out again from you Apple ID before you try downloading the next app you are having trouble updating/downloading (presumably because you deleted the app and found out that it doesn't solve the problem)

I am using an iPhone 5S with an Apple ID based in the PH.
