Update Unavailable with This Apple ID

Hi,

I have been trying to update my apps, and a pop-up box appeared, saying

Update Unavailable with This Apple ID

This update is for an app downloaded with a different Apple ID.

Sign in with that Apple ID and try again.

This happened on both my iPhone and my computer associated with it. iTunes will not let me download the app, even though I have had it on my phone before. The app still says 'Free' in the app store, but I am unable to download it.

I am using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.2, and I am using a Windows 8 operating system on a laptop.

Does anyone have a solution? Thanks for the help in advance.

(iPad)

For those whom all other solution doesn't work :

( Mac iTunes )

1 - View your account , edit payment ,remove credit card info, choose None ( Mac iTunes )

2 -Sign out from current account ( Mac iTunes )

3 -Create new account ( valid credit card )

4 -Sign in with new account

5 -Download the App

6 -Sync the App with iPad

Done

Hi everyone yesterday I was experiencing the same problem I am glad to share its fixed now for me

"This issue is only related to our Apple ID and to to those specific apps which we already have on phone or had installed on phone before except for those apps which we already have in purchase history AppStore>Updates>Purchase History(having cloud icon next to them) it's something related to our purchase data

*ITS NOT RELATED TO PHONE!

*RESETTING OR UPDATING THE DEVICE WONT MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

(As in my case it was on iPhone 4 7.1.1 iPhone 5s 7.0.3 and iTunes of course )

Here is how I got it fixed

I contacted apple support via chat method and I asked about a solution giving my info.she told me that she submitted my application and in order to resolve this I should not be using my AppStore ID for any purchase for at least 30mins as doing so may not resolve the issue so I checked it after couple hours and it's fixed

(As I read in some other discussions that some people asked for solution from apple support and they told them to reset the device or so.. You may need to make your statement clear that it's appearing both on iTunes and iPhone )

I am on hte way to having issue resolved. Turns out the three apps I could not update were REFUNDED. This happened a long time ago, so I did not remember. It is strange the issue with the apps failing to automatically update only happened recently and without warning or explanation.

My issue is not entirely resolved as I get error even when trying to re-purchase the ones I want, after uninstall. Working with Apple Support righ now to get it sorted out.

Hope this info helps you.
