iPhone 5S Signal Issues

I just upgrade from an iPhone 5 (AT&T) to an iPhone 5S (AT&T) about a week ago. Ever since the upgrade, I have had a significant increase in dropped calls and data sessions. The increase is due in part to the fact that my phone will randomly, usually about 2-3 times per day, say No Service, then Searching for Service, then No Service, then it will reconnect to the network or say No SIM Insert SIM Card. I went to the AT&T store to get a new SIM card, but now my phone is switching from LTE to 4G or EDGE in places that my iPhone 5 never did. I am also having issues with WIFI not detecing networks that are there. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.2, AT&T

Hi Bedrok, ok after you enable LTE at the bottom of the screen on same page, it should say CELLULAR DATA NETWORK, after clicking it, you will go to the screen to set the APN. Just make sure to copy the same APN that you have in CELLULAR DATA to LTE SET UP then press the home button to save it. It will start searching for signal. I hope it will fix your issues. Let me know. SETTINGS > CELLULAR >. CELLULAR DATA NETWORK.

I've had the same problems with my 5s. I'll have full LTE coverage one minute it will go to 3g then 1x to No Service. Its anoying and I always have to reset the phone.I also have problems when I call out the phone will ring a couple of times and then you don't hear anything. The person on the other end can hear me yelling at my phone. Rather then go to Apple which is a distance from me. I called my cellular provider. Was told this is a common problem with launch date phones.... That they will mail me out a new one at no cost...... Hope this helps everyone........

Now my phone has developed all kinds of problems other than what we've been discussing. The worst is "scrambled" voice mail; playing one message while showing another, showing the messages half on top of each other so I can't access any of them, and many other issues. Lately the Settings page has been locking up. Anyway, ATT customer service transferred me to Apple, who are sending me a new phone. My question is how do I transfer everything that's in the phone, not the SIM card, to the new phone and erase everything off the old before I send it in. I've backed it up on iTunes but I haven't seen the option to load it all to a new device.

All, I fixed this problem a couple of weeks ago. I got a Galaxy S5 and no more problems with the signal. It stays on 4G/LTE most of the time. I've only seen it being on 2G once but it was becaue there was no 4G/LTE coverage. This proves what I've been saying since day one. It is not a problem with Tmo's network, it is the iPhone.

I'm a happy Tmo customer again.
