iphone 5C screen cracked with no impact

I wanted to check if there are similar cases have been reported and found many such cases reported here in this forum !

Yes, there most likely was an impact. As has been repeatedly explained, the crack can become visible some time after the impact. I've personally had this happen with a watch. What happens is that the impact initially causes only a small, hardly visible crack. Over night, possibly with a temperature change, the crack enlarges and becomes visible.

Iphone 5c JUNK ALERT. Mine has cracked 4 different times, no impact. First time it was in my front pocket as I was standing at cashier line. Put in my pocket fine for maybe two minutes to make transaction, pulled it out while standing there and it was shattered. sha-doobie! Not much help from Apple. I have spent 400.00 on screens. Not much point in getting insurance because the deductible is the same cost as replacing screen each time.

From what i hear they say its due to external 99% of the time and customer foots the bill for another screen. Last iPhone I will ever own unless they upgrade me for no cost. I made the Genius bar appt. Closest store is 90 miles away. To drive there for a 50/50 chance that they will not fix it for free is not worth 3-4 hours of my time really. I couldn't even get them to commit to fixing it free if they found it was an internal issue. I have a scrap on the bottom of corner so I am sure they would use that as an excuse anyway. I scraped scooting in on concrete accidentally but it didnt break then.

Mine cracked in my front pocket while standing up. Cheap junk of a phone. Im going back to android.

Well don't go Sony. Great phones, but by far the most fragile of all the screens. Those things break on their own ALL the time!

The same thing happened to me. I set me phone on my bed and went to the bathroom for not even five minutes, came back and my phone screen was completely cracked. The only problem with this is it stayed the same temperature throughout my house and I was the only one home. The only thing I can think of is maybe a piece of software in the phone expanded causing the screen to crack.
