Cannot delete three unwanted songs on iPhone 4s - iOS 7.0.2

I have three songs on my iPhone, two from a Final Fantasy X soundtrack and one an Ed Sheeran song (irrelevant, I know). When I slide from right to left on other songs which I want to keep on my phone, the red "DELETE" button shows, but when I do it on any of these three songs on the "Songs" tab of my music library, nothing happens. I cannot remove them. When I go onto iTunes, they are not in my library and when I go onto "On this iPhone" on iTunes, it does not show them. Similarly, I have two movies just like this which I cannot delete from my phone, and do not show in iTunes. Please help? I'm rather pety about consistency and tidiness and having three random songs is annoying me horribly. Thanks.

Found my own solution to half this problem.

I had the issue of mystery songs too.

I tried removing all my play lists.

Still had 70 songs left.

I manually deleted them on my phone and then closed my apps.

When I resynced most of the songs were gone.

But it still had 35 left.

It turns out 10 of them weren't songs. They were memos I had recorded in the voice memo app.

I deleted those.

But I still had 25 left which reloaded back onto phone once I synced

I tried logging out of iTunes/App Store in settings.

This worked too. All of those songs were gone

But it was only temporary because once I logged back into my iTunes account they reappeared.

Finally I discovered something.

If you scroll down there are two options to manually synce Genre & Album.

For so e reason, I had 15 'albums' synced. Random ones. Most only had one or 2 songs per album.

Once I unchecked these albums and resynced all but 4 songs disappeared.

And of these 4, 2 were music videos.

And also, all 4 songs are from the same Justin Timberlake album.

I don't even like Justin Timberlake (Except dick in a box)

The album in question was from the Holiday 25 days of Christmas app.

so after trying and failing to very piece of advice on here, i was tempted to hand swipe all 500 songs that i could not get rid of..

but i figured it out!!

if you still can't seem to get rid of those unwanted song
on your device go to

>settings

>general

>usage

(wait for a second while things load) >music

now swipe the "all music" and delete!

this should erase ALL the music on your device and you can now plugged it back into your commuter and add the selected music you actually want to listen too!!

hope this works for

You nailed it. Thank you.

What Ukeboy is referring to is once the iPhone is connected, under the "music" section you scroll down. There is also a way to remove manually added songs which has stumped me for many months. Thank you for posting this and sorry for replying to an old thread. There are many that are still plagued with this problem so I thought it best to call this out.

Cheers!

I think we spend enough money on Apple devices that they could refrain from imposing content on their costumers. They other disapointing element is that they can see how many people want to get rid of these unwanted songs and thney stand on the sidelines doing nothing. Unacceptable. I have been a client of a car company for more than 25 years, Toyota. I have decided to change because of bad service. Apple could be next.
