some songs don't sync! iPhone 5 (ios7.0.2), iTunes 11.1.1

Last week I tried to sync my iphone and iTunes said I had to install the latest version to do so.

After I installed the 11.1.1, some songs don't sync with the iPhone.

On the 'on this iPhone' tab on iTunes it shows this same songs with a circle before the name, and they are grey, not black as the ones that are on the iPhone.

I've tried to find out what's wrong, even wondered if I did something to mess this up, but I can't figure it out.

Help? Anyone? 😐

The 'on this iPhone' list look like this:

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.2

This was exactly my issue and I'm now able to locate the 7 songs that exist on my Mac but would not sync to my iPhone or iPad. Thank you for writing this down!
