apple tv won´t play purchased movies

I've read through every response on just about every available resource there is on the subject of apple tv won´t play purchased movies. I've tried them all to no avail– until now.

Hide and unhide purchases in the iTunes Store - Apple Support

On your Mac or Pc (Won't work on device(s)):

1) Open iTunes: Store / View Account (Enter Apple ID)

2) Scroll down to: iTunes in the Cloud / Hidden Purchases / Manage

3) Click: Unhide / Free yourself from bondage / You're welcome.

ok, although this may make sense, why should that matter if WE ALREADY PAID FOR THE MOVIE! So if we cancel the card we used to purchase the movies, then we can never ever play them again, even though they are paid for? that's BS

Just had this issue with a Clients Apple TV.

Netflix, Youtube, And all Movie and TV Show previews operated quickly with out issue. Purchased Movies and TV Shows would not play and often get the buffering circle and time out with an Error loading content. After being on hold for some time I was trying many things on my own and found turning "OFF" the Quick start under settings>Apps>iTunes Movies and TV Shows>Turn Quick Start> "OFF"

Hope this saves some the frustration we was receiving. Support wanted to restore the Gen 4 apple TV or have us purchase another to see if it fixes the issue?

I have the same issue.... The screen says "An error occured loading this content".

Thank you for this solution. Worked for me too. Do you have a fix for the muffled audio? LOL.
