Artwork is not displayed in Remote App

i have the same issue. New iPad new AppleTV and contents purchased from iTunes store. What gives?

Update fixed me as well...

Seeing this after this week's Remote update.

Artwork displays correctly in the app except for the large zoomed view eg when you tap on the album artwork for the currently playing track it fills the screen with the album artwork - except it now just shows a grey box with the artist and album name.

I'm using Remote to control itunes on a Mac on my LAN.

I see the same thing on my iPad Air. However the artwork display works fine on an iPad 2 and an iPod Touch 5G.

Yeah it works on an iPhone 5s for me too (IOS 7).

But not an iPad Mini (with iOS 8). However it works on an iPad Air (iOS 7).

hmm maybe an iOS 8 issue?

Hasn't anyone a fix for this?

I'm having the same issues. Remote on an iPad Mini will not show artwork...but my iPhone 4S shows it without any difficulty.

FIx seems to be to revert to the previous Remote app version:

As can be seen from the above thread, plenty of people are having the issue. Why on earth don't they test things before releasing them.

And if I could reinstall the previous version I'd happily do so. But it doesn't appear to be a viable option.

Apple seems to be getting sloppier and sloppier about this sort of thing. Much like their brick and mortar stores.

Yep you need a backup of the previout version of the app.

Really sloppy from Apple.

I never had the earlier version. I didn't think you could go backwards in Apple. If so please let me know how.

If you read the thread I linked to you will see it being discussed. Essentially you would need to have had the earlier version and have a backuo of it.

Otherwise you're screwed unless you can find someone with the old version who will send it to you or put it somewhere, at least until Apple pull their finger out, which judging from other issues with their iTunes ecosystem could take years or not at all. The clowns.

Wow, I didn't realize you had to restore your whole phone. Nice going Apple! Now just to make sure I am having the same problem after reading those posts. My album art does eventually show up but it is slow. Is this the same thing? I have a big music collection so I wasn't sure if it was because of that or not. Also, when I play a song, I see the album art.

No, if you read the whole thread you will see that you don't need to restore your whole phone, people later on are saying you just need the older version of the Remote app not an older version of iOS.
