Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 10 seconds until the iPhone restarts itself. Then when up and running, press home button twice quickly, then swipe up and away all the windows of running apps.

Good news guys !!

I found a solution , all you have to do is reset keyboard dictionnary from settings ->reset->reset keyboard dictionnary THEN : restart your iphone ,

If it didnt work then redo it and make sure to reset keyboard dictionnary , restart and it will work 🙂 .

Best way to test it , after restart , call your phone from any other mobile and try to slide to answer 🙂

hope it helps

Having exactly the same problem with iPhone 5S, and friends having same problem with iPhone 5C. It's happened since we downloaded iOS 8.4, and many iPhone 6 and 6+ users have been reporting similar issues in other threads in the Communities - these also seem linked to iOS 8.4. Not sure whether people on this thread have had the same issue since iOS8.4. or whether it's happened on previous versions?

BTW - be careful with Apple's advice on backups and restores. Photos, messages and emails may or may not be restored, regardless of whether they are in iCloud or not. Of all the photos in my camera roll, only 3 were restored, the rest - fortunately not many, but they were important - are apparently lost forever. Apple do admit this in one of their help pages regarding backups, but not the others so thought I'd write it here; I had to find this out as an expensive mistake!

If all fails, I think this is the last and best solution. This will require you to log in to your icloud using a computer.

1.Navigate to the find my iPhone option

2. Click on the dot location and the details

3. This should prompt the option to sound an alarm or erase iPhone

4. Choose erase iPhone - make sure your phone is connected to a wifi or cell data service while doing this.

5. This will erase all faulty setting that is on your phone including all file.

6. Phone will shutoff and starts as new.

7. Continue setting up your phone with the existing Apple Id.

8. Choose to restore back up from previous icloud back up or set up as new.

9. Enjoy Your healthy phone.
