I too am getting the "Moving calendars to server account" pane when I open iCal

I too am getting the "Moving calendars to server account" pane when I open iCal. All fixes I have read seem to involve turning iCal off an on and/or rebooting. I cannot touch iCal. All is grayed out in iCal and in iCloud system preferences. I am using 10.8.5 and iCal version ... Well, that is grayed out too. Waiting a really long time does not seem to help.

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Hi all,

glad to hear that some 🙂 could solve the problem. Nothing worked for me.😢

Status with Maverick on 17" MBP 2011, iPhone 5, iPad 4

1) iCloud: from my 10 calenders, the most impotant one (used since 2000, saved from palm) and 4 others are not there. The other 6 look quite ok butr not complete

2) MBP: iCal still shows some entries I made bevore I opened iCal to the cloud from 3 Calenders and is still saying : Moving calendars to server account - 2 days no. Restart, etc. nothing worked.

3) iPhone not yet connected - has all data on it

4) iPad not yet connected - has nearly all data on it

Does anybody have an idea how I get the remaining data from my MBP to the cloud? …how do I get my calenders back (not in iCloud nor MBP?

Is there a certain sequence I could follow, still having everything on my iPhone?

Please help 😮

By the way: I do travel a lot and do not always have a connection to the net/cloud. This forces me back in stoneage with my palm. What a stupid idea to force me to use the cloud for syncing 2 devices I have on my table. Is there any other sync possibility?

Apple turns me down after so many years 😠

Thanks to all

I have the same problem as most people who have posted above.

I was desperate, none of the solutions worked for me.

But today I had an idea, and it worked.

I logged into iCloud as a guest user - and there was my calendar, and I was able use it as if nothing was wrong with my calendar when I accessed it in my own name.

This is not satisfactory, but it means that I can use my calendar and alter it.
