You cannot overcharge it, unless the charging circuit breaks. It stops charging when it is full.

You are fine. Battery protects itself.

You just need to make phone calls and send text messages.

I don't agree with you. I have an iphone 5s, and it does overcharge and has significantly affected the performance of the battery. I am guessing it could be that the non-overcharge feature is only available if you use apple genuine accessory i.e. charging cable.

It it not a matter of agreeing or not agreeing. That is the way it works. It has nothing to do with the Charger - the battery is what stops drawing a charge once it is full.

So, if your battery performance is not what you would expect it to be, then it is for some other reason.

Can you explain what performance issues you are seeing?

The battery life significantly changed after I overcharged it one day. Now I hardly get a full day use out of it. My usage is very low, hardly 20 minutes of talk time. Maybe 10 emails a day, and no other programs pushing data in the background. Before I could easily get by with 10-12 hours of use with 40% left to spare in the battery. Now, it needs recharging after 8 hours, with the same amount of usage.

I have definitely seen a change, and don't agree that the battery doesn't overcharge. I have just done a full charge now, will send you a screenshot of usage when it reaches 10%.

If you've used anything other than an Apple approved charging device, then yes, you might be experiencing problems. So, in the future, only use Apple pproved accessories. Problem solved.

I just want Apple to agree to this as well than denying it.

On the other hand, I have never experienced overcharging in my mac pro, and completely agree with this feature.
