It doesn't matter whether you agree or not... the charging circuitry in almost all battery powered electronics do not allow the battery to be overcharged. You can leave it plugged in for as long as you like and it will not overcharge. If your battery life is not as it should be, you have other issues that have nothing to do with "overcharging".
So you are saying it has nothing to do with the non-genuine accessory?
If you use a non-geniune charger, then you can have unforeseen consequences, which is why Apple tells you not to do that.
Most likely not, unless that accessory damaged the charging circuitry, at which point, the device wouldn't charge at all. Note that the charge contol circuitry is inside the iPhone, not the accessory.
Well, I am just waiting for the charge to go down to 10% so I can send you guys the screenshot.
And just what is a screenshot going to prove?
A screenshot won't prove or disprove anything regarding battery overcharge.
I thought by looking at the usage and standby you could tell me if this is normal for the phone.
No because we have no idea what happened during "usage" or what the cellular and/or wifi signal strengths were during that time. IMO, comparing usage and standby data between users is a waste of time... too many variables.
I'm completely lost then. I called Apple support, and this is the only measure they use to diagnose battery issues. Do you think it is worth taking to Apple store than? Also, can somebody tell me what sort of usage should I expect from it, fully charged.
Everybody's usage is different but most people get close to a full day with "normal" usage. Google for ways to minimize your battery drain. If you get 1/2 day or less on a full charge, then take it in to Apple.
