I think I might know what your problem is. None of the aforementioned fixes worked for me, either. I just figured it out.
When you first fire up iTunes, it'll load the UI and then you'll notice "Accessing iTunes Store" loading at the top, with a cancellation "X" icon. If you manage to hit that icon fast enough - and you only get a second, you have to know *right* where it is to hit it quick - iTunes will start without crashing. You can click the "iTunes Store" rectangular button on the top right at any time to load it, afterward...so it doesn't hurt anything.
That being said, I DON'T use the iTunes Store for anything. How do I shut it off completely...or at least on start up? I just need it to move media to my iPhone and iPad. I just sank over a grand into these devices for my wife and I, and we're not about to shell out thousands more for Macs, just so we can USE them.
iTunes Store is what is crashing it for me, clearly. Any thoughts?
Thanks. 🙂
