Aperture 3.5 is out

Aperture 3.5 is now up on the App Store.

Note that it might be a couple of hours before it shows up on your App Store, depending on where in the world you are.

I guess it's just a matter of time.

the aperture 3.5-update does not show up in the downloads section on the apple site either (switzerland). thiscan only mean that the update has not been pushed to all servers; I'm pretty sure we'll see it in a couple of hours.

relax. it's a huge update day. some users are going to see it earlier than others.

This morning I was able to download iMovie, iPhoto and iBook Aurhor without getting this error: Failed to verify the preflight file. It is not signed by Apple.

After updating those programs Numbers, Keynote, Pages and Aperture 3.5 showed as avaialbe to download.

However I am still getting this error when trying to update Numbers, Keynote, Pages and Aperture. I am starting to think this all maybe caused by a server overload with Apple.

It looks like iLife is also having a similar issue with CD installed apps. On MacRumors, they posted a work-around. Not sure it it works for Aperture, but I assume it would. Basically, it's noting to log out of your current user account and into a different user account and then back again. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1657954

Here are the directions on what to do.

1.Go to system preferences. 2.Open up User and Groups. 3.Unlock the lock. 4. Press Plus sign. 5.Create a new account and put TEST in the Full Name area. Change new account to an Administrator. Don't put anything else in. Hit Create User. 6. Log out of your account and then log in to the new TEST account. 7. Go to software update where the Apple is on the top left. You will now see iPhoto and iMovie. 8.You have to install Garageband separately and it does install separately then older Garageband. You can keep both installed. 8. Log out of the TEST account and log into your account. Delete the TEST account, and you are all done. Now you will have all new installed.

Johannes,

reinstalling Aperture triggered for me the update. If you also have an Aperture version, that came on an installer CD, reinstall the version 3.1 from that CD. Then go directly to the -menu and run software update.

You have not by any chance moved your Aperture application from then Applications foder or renamed Aperture, have you?

I have had Aperture since long before App store (since version 2.0). My Aperture license is not registered on App Store, and I cannot update there.

Now, after updating to Maverick, I am not able to open my Aperture library on Maverick, I have no way to access version 3.5 of Aperture anywhere.

What should I do?
