Aperture 3.5 is out

Aperture 3.5 is now up on the App Store.

Note that it might be a couple of hours before it shows up on your App Store, depending on where in the world you are.

Rather than going to the App Store or the Apple Support download page (you won't find 3.5), navigate to your Apple Menu on the finder page. Select Software Update. Aperture is one of three current updates available.

Download time was close to 10 minutes. The Apple server is under heavy load because OS Mavericks was released on the same day. I'm running Mavericks and everything works fine.

I trashed Aperture and reinstalled 3.1. And that made three new updates show - Pages, Keynote, Numbers. Not bad, but now I am having a 32bit Aperture , no good with Mavericks!

What a sorry sight!

I hope, I can upgrade from the Support page, when it will load again.

Update: Now the update is there! 😀 And Keynote for a second time! I wonder why!

The update shows in the App Store but when I try to download it I get this message:

"Update Unavailable with This Apple ID. This update is for an app downloaded with a different Apple ID. Sign in with that Apple ID and try again."

The problem is that I didn't download it with a different ID.

Then I get the following error message:

"There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (null)

Suggestions or thoughts?

Still no update to Aperture 3.5 here, too. I tried the "new admin-user trick", CMD-R in software updates, nothing. I also tried to switch the AppStore from Germany to US, no success.

Too bad the new iPhoto already has converted my shared photo library to a new version that Aperture 3.4.5 refuses to read. Will fetch the latest backup of my photo library from TimeMachine now.
