Older iWork´09 and iLife´11 versions - updates to newer versions not free?

Can you confirm that you had the original DVD apps installed and not the MAS apps...?

You see the problem is, originally it relates to not haviong these apps listed on the MAS, because we all bought hardcopy installers... Therefore, regardless of how, what, where or wy, if the apps are not in your installed list on MAS then they wont be recognised as updatable...?

If you could confirm it would be appreciated. As this suggestion hasn't worked for me?

Yes, bro. I bought the DVD's back in '11, of both iWork and iLife. Changing the default language worked for me!

Right, I have maybe missed a step and will try again in a bit. This whole situation is getting on my nerves a little now... Time for a coffee break & ciggie. Thnaks again for getting back so quick.

Yes I can totally confirm this as my MAS account as for today shows that I now own iLife and iWork as apps in purchased items. The purchase date of these shows todays date. (And the old disc apps are now backed up in separate folders in my applications folder)

Do it like this,

1 - Change your system language to English (erase your's default, let English be the only language, add it after you install the updates)

2 - Change your location to United States

3 - Restart, and then enter MAS.

With some hope that is all you're gonna have to do.

l wemt to the App Store this morning and Pages, Numbers and Keynote were listeded as updates. Previously I only had the iLife 11 version of those apps. It just took a while to get registered to my account.

Just read that Apple had fixed the MAS at the server side of the App Store and not users are seeing their free updates.

Hi,

I just upgraded successfully to OS X Maverick. But iPhoto and iMovie did not upgrade at all.

I tried manually with App Store by entering my Apple ID and password. But there is an error saying that the Apple ID is wrong and iPhoto and iMovie were not purchased with the Apple ID that I typed (I think I installed them with iLife DVD that I got with my iMac).

Would it be possible to explain to me a solution ?

IS upgrades do not automatically upgrade iPhoto. What version of iPhoto do you have?
