Hi,
I just downloaded the latest Safari (6.1) without downloading Mavericks OSX and it's really buggy. It doesn't fuction properly at all... I reset the computer and I also did a shut down but to no avail. Does anyone else have a similar problem?
I've always upgraded without any problems... not sure why this is happening...
What can/should I do?

Do you have any Safari plugins like GLIMS installed? If so, you have to remove it first using their uninstaller or update to the new version (coming soon).
Have you tried repairing permissions?
Is there any fix for the Find On Page bug that doesn't find anything, freezes the page, and usually the tab or browser entirely? I've been using Safari from Panther, and this is by far the buggiest version I've seen. By far.
I've discovered, so far, at least, that part of my problem must have come from Gestures and the Apple Mouse. I turned the BT mouse off and connected a trackball. I now have a visible scrollbar but no swiping for history/back/forward, and the problem of the Search Bar not dropping down and page freezes has quit.
