Is there any way to customize the size of windows in the presenter display?

I have updated keynote to the newest version (6.0). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can customize any part of the presenter display. I can add or remove windows/panels, but not resize them. Is there really no way to do this? That would be a major drawback and would certainly make me consider going back to a 4+ year-old version of Keynote.

Same problem here, so I wanted to go back to keynote 09' but now the presentations I opened up in the new, tell me that they can't be opened in the old program. Plus I use Airparrot for my displaying on secondary monitor, and I get this error; you don't have enough vram memory to display" so now my airparrot won't work, and I have a presentation in the morning!!! arrrrgghhghhhggghhhh!

Thank you much for that, at least now I can use my presentation in the 09, version. I also figured out my airparrot issue by turning on "use expose" in Keynote preferences.

Too bad I can't use the new Keynote, for me it is worthless for presentations if I can't customize my presenter note pane. When presenting I have to have more than about 4 lines of text, I need it to take up at least 1/3 of the screen if not 1/2.

It makes no sense to me that they would call something an "upgrade" and remove previous features, especially the best feature the program has/had.

SOLUTION - click the icon with the three blocks in presenter mode, and UNCHECK everything but the presenter notes box. Doing so will automatically resize the presenter notes to full screen.

I had to give a presentation this morning, and about an hour before I started, I started rehearsing. Well, I noticed with lack of customization for presenter notes as you are all complaining about and immediately panicked. I exported back to Keynote 09, but lost the new transitions and I was seriously panicked at that point because I had more than just 2 piddly lines of notes in my slides.

Anyway, I started messing with it and found the solution above and gave my presentation. On one hand I kind of miss the ability to see what the next slide will be, but on the plus side, I can see ALL of my notes now since it's full screen. I agree that the lack of customization is a head scratcher, but at least you can uncheck stuff and see your notes fullscreen which is what everyone here is wanting I think. This new way makes it "simpler" I guess, but there is no real indication that by unchecking things it will automatically resize. Whatever, the above solution got me through my presentation without any problem.

Agreed, but I guess it depends on what your "solution" is for your needs. Do I personally need to see the slides as they are right behind me? I use a presentation remote, and don't look at my slides behind me for more than just a glance. It would be nice to have the slides on my laptop screen just to see where I was, but it's not a deal breaker for me enough to go back to Keynote 09.

Problem: Can't see enough presenter notes

Solution: Hide everything and make them full screen

Problem: Can't customize presentation windows

Workaround: Use Keynote 09 and report to Apple
