unable to see mavericks download progress in app store

Have you ever heard of jumping off a cliff?

Cause that's what I would do rather than download anything through Torrents.

Fail.

Go to “Active Monitor” on Network tab and down you will see “Data received” it’s the download speed you download the app.

I know this is some time after it was asked and possibly different due to OS (OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite), but for future reference I noticed that in the 'Purchases' section of the app store you could see the size, already downloaded and estimated time for completion.
