Mac App Store not showing updates in list..
MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9)
Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Updates are not showing up in App Store (other than installed updates) since 10.12.1. Number of updates shows on App icon, but no actually updates appear. Set for manual updates.
Same issue here, wonder if it has anything to do with the new MacBook Pro, noticed numbers was proving updates for this when I did a manual update.
It's happening again! 😮
Repair permissions with Onyx worked for me.
macOS Sierra 10.12.1
If you have pending updates of the programs that do not show in Updates tab then you can use Purchases tab to update them.
I had pending updates of the system components which also didn't show.
This terminal command helped out: sudo softwareupdate --install --all
İf you want just to list the updates try out: sudo softwareupdate --list
I have tried it first but it just updated iTunes to 12.5.2.
With second move I have deleted the caches of the Mac App Store, rebooted the system, but didn't work. At the end I have repaired permission with Onyx and, after a reboot, the Mac App Store shows correctly the updates list (today six update iTunes, Numbers, Garageband, iMovie, Pages e Keynote).
Yes, command line helped only for update in my case, but now i tried out your method and after repairing the permissions with Onyx the updates show in store again.
Thanks for advise.
You are welcome 🙂
It now appears to have resolved itself, no action taken
It's magic 🙂
Hi,
My wife and I had the same problem.
We manually updated the apps as recommended below. However, we found that when we went into iTunes, and it notified us that there was an update for this, when we asked to download the update to iTunes, suddenly all the Mac apps which needed to be updated appeared as usual on the Mac app store screen. It seems that the history of what Mac apps have been updated in the last 30 days has gone, but I don't see that this is a major issue.
Hope this helps. It seems to be a slight glitch between iTunes and the Mac App store which I'm sure Apple will resolve.
Peter
Yesterday, tried clearing system and user caches with OnyX; signing out of App Store, rebooting, signing back in; signing out of iCloud, rebooting, signing back in; reinstalling macOS. Also repairing permissions; checking disk. No difference: updates shown in icon badge and in Apple menu, but not in App Store.
Today, it just works. Woke the Mac after sleeping it last night, restarted the App Store, all updates appeared as they should. Looks like it was something on Apple's end that they've fixed.
I have/had this same issue after updating to Sierra and iTunes 12.5.3
I can see what Ive updated in the last 30 days but not the 8 updates the icon tells me exist. Twice now, however, repeated clicking on the update button while on the "previous updates" screen has brought the list of updates back. Sounds ridiculous I know, but it's worth a try
Same here with the history of updates installed in the last 30 days - that's disappeared completely. An update for iTunes appeared today, so clicked on it - I assume it must have been a very small update as it came up with the "installing" progress bar which then disappeared after a couple of seconds! I thought the history list might start to reappear on the Updates tab now as the issue seemed to be (sort of) fixed, but the whole page is still blank.
