Endnote X5 won't run on OS X Mavericks

I just updated OS X from Moutain Lion to Mavericks. Only one software couldn't be run on Maverick. It showed up the message "Unable to load: /Application/Endnote X5/Endnote X5.app/Resources/ENCore.bundle

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Had the same problem with my Endnote x5.

Unable to load: /Applications/EndNote X5/EndNote X5.app/Contents/Resources/ENCore.bundle

Finally upgraded to EndNote x7 since my trial period is coming to an end. I don't think they have mentioned about any fixes to the issues but they do offer a discounted upgrade for $70.

Check out the thread below.

Ok, this is the final straw. I am going back to Mountain Lion. I have been having endless annoyance with Preview-it either blurs out when you scroll or it keep freezing on me. With Endnote X5 lost, I see no reason to stay with Mavericks. I find none of the "improvements" interesting, the graphics are lame, and now two key programs I use daily fail. I only made the upgrade because of the alleged energy management improvements (MBP Retina), but have not noticed anything special here anyways. Luckily I have time machine running, and thank you for posting the easy backrolling method.

I agree, Mavericks is just so DUMB! Shouldn't have upgraded it. My EndNote no longer works. My previous version of Crossover platform no longer works as well. And I need Crossover as I am depended on a few Windows software.

Anyway, since I am going to upgrade to a latest version of Crossover, I have decided to install EndNote of Windows using Crossover. I do not have a Time Machine backup. Should have done so.

This is the worst Os upgrade, and I think Apple is really losing out. Getting worse and losing out in iPhones, and now even in Mac Os.

I, too, upgraded to Mavericks and found my endnote (v4) stopped working. I bought v7, but when I went to install it, and got this message: "you can't open the application "EndNote 7 Full Installer because PowerPC applications are no longer supported." What? I wouldn't have bought it if it was a Power PC application!

Any ideas on what to do now?
