Mavericks Dock: Change color

The new bright side dock in mavericks is ugly and hard for the eye. There MUST be a solution to change the white background to something more easy for the eye.

(I don't mention the new ugly calendar and contacts because I hardly use them, but the new Apple Design Team seems to think that white is a reasonable color for an app background - they are obviously wrong) 😮

What happened to the Accessible Idea with Apple???

It was fine before... now I can't tell what is running and it is difficult to even tell some icons apart even at large size.

Colour is critical for accessibility for almost all. I have good vision but I have to sit in a modified chair at a distance due to physical limitations. I use low res/large size now but I cannot make use of the dock in mavericks.

This is critical to how I support myself.

I sent message to the email for accessible features... and I saw the solution posted people said works for them but it will take me some time to do that. It is awful that Apple does something like this that means that just the most visual and physically capable can work around something that worked fine for everyone before. People with limitations can't always just get under the hood to deal with their design team having a brain ****.

I suggest the design people take a class in FUNCTIONAL design
