Wifi Greyed out with exclamation mark, but wifi still works !! after Mavericks upgrade.

After updateing to Mavericks i noticed my Wifi is greyed out with and exclamation saying ALERT: No internet. Funny thing is i can connect and have full conectivity. After running the WIFI diognostic tool, the result was my internet is fine and working properly the Wifi still remains Grey with an Exclamation Mark. Any Advice would be appreciated.

I just opened network preferences under the wifi icon menu and it said I had no global IP address (it wasn't receiving one via DHCP and was generating its own local IP). The simplest way to solve that is to turn the wifi off and on and it will automatically ask for and obtain another IP. You could also command line release the IP and then ask for another one, but an off-on does the same thing. When people rebooted the entire computer they were trying to release the APIPA IP and get an active one for external networks, but they may still wind up keeping the old one and therefore experience problems. A reboot should theoretically have solved the problem but they may have retained a connection to that old number as your computer likes to hold onto information.
