Wow. If Apple doesn't change their actions on this topic, then it will be another "Apple Maps" debokle. What's crazy, is that even though Apple knows their decision to boot Google's database from Apple Maps was wrong, they still weren't able to change back to Google. That poor decision by Apple almost made me switch, until Google saved the day with their Google Maps app that came out. I can survive not using the Apple Maps App, and just use the Google Maps App.
Unfortunately, cumulative mistakes compound, and if Apple doesn't fix this syncing issue, I'll be downgrading to Mountain Lion until it becomes obsolete, unless someone is able to make up for Apple's mistake again, and make an app that solves it.
I'd pay good money if a company that cared very much about security made a Mac OS replacement for iTunes syncing altogether. I'll look into making a syncing app for people who don't want to use Cloud services.
