How block "Visual match" pop-ups?

Recently, whenever I'm shopping in Safari on a page that includes a picture of something, I'll get a pop-up titled "Visual Match" that has a series of thumbnails of similar items, with an "Explore" area to their left and a "More" area to their right.

How can one completely block Visual Match? Preferably without blocking other pop-ups!

This began happening at least with the lastest Safari under OS X 10.8.5, and the same thing persists now wtih Safari 7.0 under OS X 10.9.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion, 3.4GHz Corei7, 16GB, SSD + 2T HD

I had the same problem, just solved it.

You are probabely using Glims...

If so go to Safari->Preferences->Glims->Ads/Shopping and turn off the ads.

The ads are enabled since the last version of Glims - 1.0.41 and that's why you got the popus on 10.8.5.

Wait,Where is glims,I don't have glims,at the right hand end of the list is advanced, HOW CAN I STOP THOSE POP UP ADS LIKE visual match, truecar,or some kinds of aol jobs? Really SO annoying that i can't bear it anymore,help me please!!!

Having the same horrible problem..

"Disabling" makes it come back after 5 minutes, and i do not have glims or whatever its called.. Someone please help me its really annoying?

Just solved this problem after a little bit of searching!

Go to http://www.thesafemac.com/art/ and download their tool, this will may work.

just click in the link that says "to disable Visual Match please click here" on the banners. Then it will disable the cookies in the browser.

This resolution below totally worked for me, I really recommend it!

I'm on MacBook Pro, Mavericks 10.9.3, using Google Chrome.

I spent hours trying to remove/disable Visual Match pop-ups using other methods and none was succesful, I was beyond frustrated.

I have this problem but I don't have that glims on my mac .. So how do i get rid of it, its super annoying while Im trying to look for things online
