Mavericks Finder Coverflow Gets Lost

I have upgraded to Mavericks, and I am having trouble with Coverflow in the Finder. When I delete files it gets lost, showing previews of files that are not the ones that are highlighted. The spacebar preview seems to work, showing me the actual contents, but the coverflow view is for a different file. Also, if there is a long list of files in the folder, it cannot display the files further down the list.

I was in the middle of a large project, going through thousands of photos in finder, when I upgraded. I had the perfect workflow, using coverflow, and it worked flawlessly in Lion. It seems this got boken in the update.

Any suggestions?

All the same finder anticks here also... SUPER frustrating when you're trying to get some ACTUAL work done.

I don't just cruise the internet with my MAC. I work on webites using photoshop, illustrator and lots of browser windows and interaction with finder.

This upgrade has been a MAJOR disaster in terms of USABLE time during the day.

Ok. I just noticed my system is working somewhat better, however I do NOT have the extra monitor attached. I am starting the think the monitor is the problem - but still ... it only started acting funny when I upgraded.

I will try it on the extra monitor and report back soon.

so far, so good -- at least the images seem to match up, when in cover flow.

The re-index did seem to help the incorrect mapping issue, (images weren't mapping to the right names)... but NO DICE on the finder crashing deal.

It's still randomly crashing and leaving me unable to open and save reliably during application operations.

This is a MAJOR disruption for me.

There have been many times when I had to FORCE close a program like Photoshop to regain control of the APP. ...

the window gets stuck behind the app or something... and then it will not let me close it...

CRAZY stuff.

We're at the DEV teams mercy again... I GUESS.

So .... APPLE... Are we just stuck with this ??

I mean what gives?

is this the NEW level of quality we can look forward to?

These BUGS are NOT ACCEPTABLE in the least. It needs to be fixed ASAP. (10.9.1 -- patch for glitchy OSX)

Call it something good like: Seedling or Pi. (as in APPLE, get it?)

Proves... you get what you pay for.

If I had known, if I had known...

I certainly hope there is a fix soon. I am still at very reduced efficiency, because of all the buggy finder issues. The windows keep disappearing mid save on photoshop, and the coverflow preview is not sync'd up.

I hope they realize how janky this 10.9 release made everything. It's not limited to the Gmail and Mail stuff. It's OX wide - BASIC stuff that is messed up. SAVE, OPEN and preview icons are not ancillary functionality. They are ever minute of every day on the computer stuff.

APPLE: Please fix it quick. Mavericks has made my work life a living ****.
