BlueTooth doesn't work with OS Mavericks.

When I updated my Mac to Mavericks the Mac says: "BlueTooth not available", before I updated I had BlueTooth and used it for a BlueTooth speaker, Magic Mouse and Wireless Keyboard. The Magic Mouse and the keyboard still works but I cannot reconnect them or see the settings for the magic mouse. What can I do?

I could definitely use some help. I'm just new enough to OS X to not be sure where else to post this.

My Logitech wireless keyboard and Microsoft wireless Microsoft mouse worked fine. The mouse still does, I fact. Recently I had to recharge the keyboard's battery. After reinserting the charged batteries my 2012 Mac mini refused to recognize it. I've done all the obvious stuff I can think of. Once, BRIEFLY, the Mac recognized the keyboard for a flash but it disappeared. The keyboard still works fine with my iPad. I bought a new keyboard and the Mac doesn't recognize it either. I just get the little spinning wheel -- not the color pinwheel.

Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I experienced the same issue, BT not available.

Finally found a post that basically said,

"turn the computer off and then on again.
I would add disconnect the power cord for three minutes.

I should have just followed "Ockham's Razor".When i hit an

issue, ie,,trouble shooting Bluetooth, I attempt to remember to follow
Ockham's suggestions,

Ockham's razor from William of Ockham (c. 1287 – 1347), and in Latin lex parsimoniae) is a principle of parsimony, economy, or succinctness used in problem-solving. It states that among competing hypotheses, the hypothesis with the fewest assumptions should be selected.

If you know about Ockham's razor, it's always good to

read the principle. I should wear it around my neck.

My fix...

I wasn't even trying this but somhow helped.

I was about to o a CMD + R but first I decided to join my family in my living room and do it while wathing a movie.

So I turned it off and I unplugged everything. After doing a normal reboot everything was fine!!

Thats it, maybe the "unplugging" is what completely clrears somen settings.

Just try it, it wont hurt.
