Three finger swipe no longer works on Mavericks

wrong!!! I've just entered this forum because I was having the same issue... could'nt find the answer to fix the 3 swipe finger thing for FINDER... got it all right now...

NO NEED TO INSTALL ****, JUST DO THIS, WORKS LIKE A CHARM

Steps:

1) open system preferencess

2) Trackpad

3) More Gestures

4) Swipe between pages: just select SWIPE WITH THREE FINGERS...

after that I got everything working again: FINDER AND SAFARI... worked perfectly !!! no is back to what it used to be...

Are you on Mavericks? Because swiping does not work in FInder no matter what you do or what settings you change. It always worked in Safari, that was never the problem.

I can also confirm that swiping in Finder still does not work on the latest OS X update. I keep hoping they'll fix it but they never have.

Using some crappy third party software just to swipe in Finder is a non-solution. It's not the same at all.

I still believe this is a bug because swiping works everywhere else in OS X like Safari, App Store, iTunes, etc. Finder is the ONLY place it does not work. And it's not like Apple to have features that don't work universally across all their software. Especially considering it worked before and now it still works everywhere else except the one place it's needed most.

Also swiping doesn't work for the magic mouse as well as the trackpad. Really hoping Apple fixes this soon it's extremely annoying and time consuming

Come on folks, let's all hit Apple Feedback. This is one of the few ways of being heard. Please do it.

not the ideal way, but problem solved with BTT

add 3 finger swipe gestures,

go to mimicking standard gesture menu

pick 3F swipe right/left option.

works perfectly for me!

too bad that you didn't like it. you can turn off the mail notification if you don't want the reply

free useful awesome app, Better Touch Tool just solved finder back/forward problem beautifully for me and I just wanted to share this with others.

This thread is 7 month old. We talked about BTT 9000 times. Stop.

Anyone try Yosemite yet to see if they brought back this function? Fingers crossed..
