Installing Mavericks over Mountain Lion

After trying your tips magnusviri, the problem remains. But it makes me think to simply repair the rights of the system partition with Disk Utility and this worked fine for me. (reparing the rights of the partition, not the partition, nor the disk !)

And my Macbook Pro starts as he was used to. « Just like starting over ! » Thanks John L. ;^)

Can you please elaborate the steps, I am still facing the problem and all the above mention steps have failed.

My maverics installation was working fine for over 3 weeks, the problem started 2-3 days back and keep repeating.

Alas the Mavericks release is incompatible with the most recent Applejack release (1.6). I've been using Applejack for years, before this, and I hope the Applejack developers can update it to be happy with Mavericks (and beyond).
