Greenish screen after wake up using external monitor

Same exact issue. Happens randomly at wake up. MacBook lid is always closed when I attach the external display (I use a Twelve South BookArc stand and Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad).

- MacBook Air 11" mid-2012 (2GHz i7 with HD Graphics 4000)

- Thunderbolt 27"

- OS X Mavericks 10.9.1

Yes, if I reconnect my USB it goes, but its a hassle!

@Richard: USB? Did you mean Thunderbolt or mini DisplayPort?

Now the issue happens every time for me, not just randomly. This is super-annoying.

Ooops. Mini display port. I wish our friends at Apple would post a solution!!!!!

I have the same issue with the pink display after wake. It doesn't matter if my laptop is open or closed.

Unplugging and replugging the Thunderbolt display works to correct it, but that's annoying to have to do if my laptop is not right in front of me.

I've also found that if I adjust the resolution or orientation of the screen in Display Preferences, it corrects itself without needing to be unplugged.

Greenish tint when waking from sleep, tint goes away if I change some parameter for the display on Display Preferences. Not happy at all, I've better stuff to do than sorting out these problems, that was why I bought a Mac in the first place.

Somehow my screen has stopped doing what it was and has been working flawlessly for a while. It was very annoying having to either unplug it or change a display parameter to reset but I don't think I've gotten the colored screen issue in maybe, 6 weeks now? I wish I knew what I changed or did to fix it!

Count me in - exact same problem. Pink Screen with Thunderbolt display after waking it up again. Display port in and out resolves it. Weird considering the prize for the display.

Just discovered this for the first time today after my monitors had been sleeping for an hour or so.

Mac Mini 2012 - Mavericks 10.9.2

Samsung SA350 24" monitor using 0.5m HDMI to HDMI

My second monitor is another Samsung BX2235 using Thunderbolt to DVI. This screen remained fine. Had to shut down and restart and in order for all to be ok again.

OK, not sure about everyone else, but this issue appears to have disappaered with the my last Mavericks update. Whereas before the green screen would happen almost every time my MacBook Pro awoke from sleep, it hasn't happened once since I upgraded to: OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)

I'm on 10.9.2. However, the screen was not green, it was pink. After doing some research on HDMI errors, the pink screen seems to be a common thing. So not not if it is my Mac Mini 2012, and Mavericks, or, just a common error.

Like bj4mac I didn't notice it again since a while and it could be thanks to update to 10.9.2.
