Mavericks install stuck at "about a second remaining"

I just waited 10 mins and it rebooted. All good now! :-)

If waiting does not work, and you are installing from a external (usb) disk, unplug any Ethernet cables, and TURN OFF WiFi.

That fixed it for me 🙂

Thanks Marcotor! That did the trick for me too. Turned off wifi and about 10 seconds later it restarted and is now installing. :-)

Why the **** is there no instruction for this... wasted about 6 hours

it'll eventually install, just give it time. My rule of thumb when doing clean installs, back ups or reboots, just start it before you go to bed and let it do its things over night

Hahahahahaha best reply ever read on internet!!!!! By the way, it was the same process for me. The last remaining second dured about approximately 15 min.
