After iOS 7.0.3 iPhone 5S won't finish sync

My iphone 5 willnot finish syncing. it gets to the final step and says either that changes are being applied or copied. I let it go on loading for 9 hours and it still didnt complete. i ended up just ejecting. i lost my ringtones, music, and many apps. A few i could donload through the cloud, the rest say they cant be downloaded at thistime. i tried rebooting the phone, restroing the phone, restarting my computer, restartng itunes. My last thing that im currently attempting is deleting and reinstalling itunes. If this doesnt work, i'm done for. I dont know if the new software is the cause, but this never happened to be before. Im pretty **** upset.

I suggest you not to keep syncing cause it will increase your "other data". Use TunesGo software to add photo or songs to your iphones, dont use Itunes because with IOS7, it will only ruin your file.

I had the same problem with mine. Even went through today's update to 7.1, still didn't make a difference. After scouring the forums and not finding a solution, I finally opened an applecare chat. After several hours with them, I finally just unsynced my photos, and everything worked. The photos on my phone are still there, and the photos on my mac are still there, but the 2 can't be synced right now for some reason. They are having it pushed up to engineering so it can be handled, but that solution worked for me.

All the steps: (mac only)

1. Update all your software. I was pushing iTunes 11.1.5, mac osx 10.9.2, and iOS 7.1

2. Open Image Capture. Down on the bottom left, there's a box for "connecting this iPhone opens:" and select no application. Close Image Capture.

3. Open iTunes, unselect Sync Photos.

4. Run your sync.

That solved it for me until Apple can get a complete fix. Hopefully, it'll work for some of you.

I actually use "phoneclean" app, very simple to use, it will takes out the entire "other data" quickly

I had the same issue, I could not get a sync to finish. it would get to step 5 and then go on forever. I fixed it by doing a local back-up to my computer first, which downloaded and brought in all the apps i had downloaded on my phone and not on my computer. Then once that was done I could sync in under 5 minutes and now it works every time. De-select automatic sync when connected, then re-connect your phone, and click the back up local bubble, then click back up now. When it is done you should be able to sync without problem.

Turning wifi on seemed to solve the problem on my iPhone. Had the same exact situation you described. Unplugged phone, turned on and connected to wifi and it sorted itself out, without even plugging it to iTunes.

I've had this problem for the first time last night, tried everything others have suggested but it still wouldn't sync, in the end i unchecked add music videos, clicked apply changes and it finished.
