Quick Look not working properly since OS X Mavericks update

When I select a file and press the space button to give it a quick look, it will either show the next file in the list or nothing at all. Sometimes it does show the right file, but doesn't stick to the right order if I press the arrow buttons. It was working perfectly fine before I updated to Mavericks.

Is anyone else experiencing anything similar? How can I solve this? I really like the quick look functionality and use it a lot, please help!

So this happened after you updated to Mavericks? One thing I tried is to boot in safe mode the preview works just fine then. So it has something to do with an incompatible file that could be an extension, preference file or something else. I trashed my Quick Look plist but that didn't fix the problem.

Same here. Quick Look is sluggish - definite lag time. It's getting really annoying.

Same here. Quick Look is slow, often not able to preview a jpeg and easily desynchronized, showing the preview of another file than the one selected wich is VERY ANNOYING 😠

Exposure 4 in Lightroom isn't working after upgrading to Mavericks; a link to share a folder from dropbox disappeared after upgrading to mavericks, videos that used to play on my Mac Book pro are not all playing any more....

Apple released a new update to Mavericks today. I thought they might have included a fix to this ridiculous quicklook problem. No, they haven't. It seemed to be working fine lately, now it's back to working horrible again.

I wonder how something so simple can go unseen for so long. APPLE, FIX THAT ALREADY.

Have you tried deleting this folder which worked for me:

/Users/username/Library/Containers/com.apple.quicklook.ui.helper

That fix did nothing for me, still slow as molasses. I've got a 2103 MBP retina, and i get a beachball with every image I try to look at using QL.

This didn't work for me. I even tried deleting all of the containers to see if there was some incompatible file but that didn't work. Booting in SAFE mode was the only cure, I can't continue to work in that mode forever. I'm hoping Apple can see that there is this issue and can come up with an update soon to take care of the sluggishness and display problem.

I tried deleting that folder, but I cant find a Library folder in my username folder.... any ideas how to get it back or where it went?

Trackx : Finder - Go menu... hold the alt key, you'll see Library.

I must say that it's started again to be very slow. So the trick doesn't work anymore for me.

Really unbelievable to launch Maverick with that bug.
