Quick Look not working properly since OS X Mavericks update

I really hoped that this problem is finally fixed with 10.9.3 but again. No change! Apple, why is this so difficult? Please fix it!!!

It works when you go fullscreen, at least but seriously, this is very annoying.

Maybe no one from Apple reading this discussion. And we will be always without quck view. I really hate it. What's happened with support???

Ya, after Jobs passed, I find Apple is REALLY slipping with their products and their beginning to act more "PCish" with viruses n' $&@#!

Hey there! Had the same problem with quicklook (like shown in the video of sebag). The following seems to solve the problem:

• Open up terminal
• type

  qlmanage -r

• Expected Output:

  qlmanage: resetting quicklookd

After that everything worked normally again. Was suffering from that a really long time...

Doesn't work for me but i found something that ALWAYS WORKS: when in quick lok - press the Alt key. I can finally use quick look again to previous all the big raw files and other formats, like .psd! Try it, I'm sure it will work you as well.

Didn't help me too. Still previews disappear.

Alt/Option works for the images that show blank but it's only temporary. Hoping Apple will address this problem.

Check metadata in your files or try to fix/erase them.

When metadata are to big (like over 1 MB) quicklook can't work properly.

Metadata ? Quicklook should then not be compatible with any picture coming from all common APNs !

I have the issue with Canon G11, Olympus Stylus1, and all of other APNs from my family and friends.

Really, I don't think these provide so big metadata.

Even if big metadata is a problem, there is another one far before.

I have exactly the same issue as in the video!

First time Quicklook invoked = ok, then when using cursor keys and going back to previous file, empty window.

I am using PathFinder, but the problem happens both in Finder and in PathFinder.

Re-starting Finder or PathFinder does not help.

In a quick try, I moved revocation.plist away, but this did not seem to change anything. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. In my case, I have configured QLEnableTextSelection TREE. So I tried..

$ defaults write com.apple.finder QLEnableTextSelection -bool FALSE

$ killall Finder

and re-login (for sure).

solved the problem.

P.S. When I tried...

$ defaults delete com.apple.finder QLEnableTextSelection

I just received the message as below, so I turned it to FALSE.

Domain (com.apple.finder) not found.

Defaults have not been changed.

Info for newbs: Go to Terminal and copy paste everything that's after $ - one line at a time and hit return.

It worked for me!

Note that there is a typo in there—"Enable" should have an "L" in it:

Instead of: QLEnabeTextSelection

It should be: QLEnableTextSelection

Thanks, I edited it. However I have not used the last line. First two fixed it for me.
