Graphics(Scrolling) Lag after Mavericks Installation

After Mavericks Update installation my MBP 13" i5 mid 2012 HD4000 is been presenting noticeable graphics lag when scrolling (Safari, Chrome, Dock, Scrolling sideways, Launch Pad, i can say everywhere).

It was working with no problems of this kind with Mountain Lion 10.8.5, everything runned smoothly.

Has anybody has or solve this issue ? is extremly annoying,

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Albeit AutoCAD is a fix, it is only a periodic fix. Quoting a member who actually answered my question..

"AutoCAD isn't a permanent fix for me. I have to do the AutoCAD magical launch/openfile/quit after each reboot, otherwise Dock unhide & magnification graphics operations are so jerky the Dock is nearly unusable. Looking forward to a fix for this and finding out the cause."

I was experiencing the same "symptoms" as everyone else on my MacBook Pro, and tried the AutoCAD fix, but it didn't work for me. Reinstalling the OS didn't work either. I ended up taking it into the Apple Store, and they did a NetInstall, which fixed the problem. My analysis is that something in the original Mavericks software is causing the problem, and since it copies itself onto a partition to use as a "reinstall disk", the problem isn't solved with the normal software reinstall. It has been a month now since the NetInstall, and everything is running smoothly. So, for everyone out there with the flashing, jerking, and choppy screens/docks/Exposé, I would recommend visiting your local Apple Store, gettting a NetInstall, and reminding them how unfortunant it is that there new software is causing so many problems. After all, we expect malfunctions like this to happen with Windows, but not Apple.

I purchased a Fall 2013, 27" imac and the thing has been butter smooth since day one. After installing AutoCad 2014 a couple of days ago, I came back the next day and my desktop has been extremely choppy and jittery. As other users have mentioned, opening autocad back up and then closing it has stopped all of the jitters and freezing.

This is a very odd issue indeed. I believe that it may have something to do with Mavericks and AutoCad specifically.

I suffer the same symptoms; late 2011 MBP 15". I get the system updated all the time. I even tried an online instructions given by an Apple technician to reset settings and didn't work. I searched a lot, fearing that it might be a hardware issue, and frankly, I've decided to downgrade to mountain lion, but a bit of last minute googling and I ended up here. Now that I see the post I'll give it a try.

But, regardless of whether it works or not, why they don't make a patch, update or whatever to just fix it themselves without such ridiculous, and of course practical, approaches !!!!

I also had huge lag issues, after talking to apple tech support and reinstalling mavericks the problem was just as bad. I opened and then quit AutoCad 2014, and all the lag went away immediately!! I still don't know why, but my only guess is running such a resource demanding program must call more ram to your session?? Or reset something with the graphics or graphics switching??

I have the same problem with my recently bought Mac Mini.

I just turned it on this morning to work and everything was lagging and flickering. Photoshop brushes delaying and trembling Dock animations.

Not only Autocad works. I have Maya 2015 installed. I opened it, closed and everything went back to normal.

I hope Apple fix it on next update.
